Growing up as the eldest son of a humble merchant clan in Geladda, Lor'themar is one of the oldest living Blood Elves, and it shows. Thousands of years have passed him by, raven black hair turning gray, clean shaven face soon adorned by a well-groomed beard, unable to keep up with his growth anymore.Born over two centuries ago when the Sunstrider dynasty still ruled Quel'thalas, Lor'themar enjoyed a quiet life for a long time, receiving martial training from his father, a retired Farstrider, but his life was shaping up to be nowhere near as exciting as he hoped for. Every night the young man would pray for something to happen, some little bit of excitement. At 49 years old, he got his wish.

While Geladda had always been a well-defended trading hub for Quel'thalas, lying in the heart of Golden Blood Valley and naturally protected by the mountain pass and formations, it had never had to truly deal with any strife. An insurrection from the eldest branch of House Sin'dal, the ruling family of Golden Blood Valley, changed this. Overnight Lor'themar’s home had been changed into a war zone, with the two youngest branches of House Sin'dal leading the rebellion against the elder separatists. Gladly joining the rebellion with his childhood friend, Lord Hadrian Sin'dal, Lor'themar jumped at the opportunity to actually see combat. Though the rebellion was eventually put down, Lor'themar’s taste for combat was far from over, and he journeyed together with Hadrian to Silvermoon so that they could join The Farstriders.

A proud son of Quel'thalas, Lor'themar Theron’s military history is as impressive as it is extensive. In spite of the fact that the once proud Amani Empire had been destroyed several centuries prior by King Anasterian Sunstrider, and King Thoradin of Arathor, there were still frequent, heated clashes between Amani trolls and the High Elves of Quel'thalas - clashes and skirmishes that still persist to this day.During a routine patrol near the border of Zul'Aman, Lor'themar found himself captured by none other than Zul'jin of the Amani and brought alongside fellow prisoners Liadrin, Galell, and [REDACTED]. After a brutal interrogation and torture at the hands of the vicious Zul'Aman, Lor'themar managed to escape from his bonds and fought alongside Liadrin and Galell, long enough to permit [REDACTED] enough time to help the crew escape.Lor'themar fought bravely during The Second War, seeing much action as Ranger Captain and Second-in-Command to Ranger-General Sylvanas Windrunner. Forming close ties with Turalyon, Second-in-Command to The King of Stormwind, Lor'themar fought bravely to defend his home and The Sunwell from the Dragonmaw and Amani invaders of The Old Horde. After his deeds in The Second War, Lor'themar was promoted to the rank of Ranger Lord in a grand ceremony held by Sylvanas Windrunner, and was congratulated by King Anasterian himself.Following the secession of Quel'thalas from The Alliance of Lordaeron after increasing bigotry towards non-humans, Quel'thalas was spared much of the conflict, for a time.

Approached by the Archtraitor, whose treachery had yet to be discovered at the time, Lor'themar willingly gave information to him, as they had been friends in the past, surviving the brutality of Chieftain Zul'jin together.This mistake cost Lor'themar dearly, though the full magnitude of the Archtraitor’s heresy would never be fully known.After the Archtraitor sold Quel'thalas to Arthas Menethil, the almost near annhilation of Quel'thalas was soon to follow. Though Lor'themar and company raced to Quel'danas, witnessing the deaths of thousands of Rangers, Sylvanas Windrunner, King Anasterian, The Convocation of Silvermoon, and countless others, they were too late to save The Sunwell. Vowing to stay behind and finding himself suddenly in a leadership role, Lor'themar rallied the survivors of this horrible tragedy and in the following years would purge Quel'thalas of the damnable Scourge.In the years that followed as Lord Regent of Quel'thalas, Lor'themar would turn to the aid of The Forsaken in The Ghostlands; none in The Alliance had any interest in fighting for Quel'thalas, especially after Prince Kael'thas had allied himself with Lady Vashj of the Naga and Illidan Stormrage.Finding surprising comrades in The Forsaken, and later the Horde as a whole, Lor'themar Theron’s military service came to an end, and so started the life of a well-respected though oft forgotten leader of The Horde.
